WANT Medical Services are always looking to add high calibre staff to our database and welcome applications from all backgrounds, however certain jobs require a degree of fitness and mobility due to the physical nature of the job, all applicants must be over the age of 18.

Recruitment is taking place for the following job roles, we are especially interested in Doctors, Paramedics and Nurses with A&E experience and serving or ex NHS Ambulance Staff.

  • Bank Trainers:                                 Qualified HSE Approved First Aid at Work Trainers and Manual Handling Trainers
  • Bank Event Cover Staff:                 Medical, Ambulance and First Aid trained Staff.
  • Bank Ambulance staff                    Ambulance Care Assistants (PTS)

Bank Staff

Bank staff are used to to cover high demand, holiday and staff sickness. They are required to have the same qualifications as full time staff, experience as Bank Staff may be beneficial when applying for any full time positions.


Trainers

The Job Role:

You will be carrying out training courses, some of which will be according to the legal requirements laid down by the Health and Safety Executive, usually at our clients premises or an outside training venue.

You will be:

  • Qualified as a HSE Approved FAAW Trainer or hold a recognised training qualification
  • Hold an in-date First Aid Certificate
  • Be enthusiastic,  and smart in appearance
  • Able to present to a wide range of client groups
  • Able to supply your own transport

You will get

Event Medical Staff

The Job Role:

Event Medical Staff carry out an essential role at many events, treating those who fall ill or are injured in a quiet, discreet and professional manner. They may be working at a First Aid/Medical Station or dynamically deployed as a mobile team.

You will be:

  • A team player
  • Enthusiastic
  • Able to maintain Patient Records
  • Be able to cope with long periods of quiet or high demand for your skills
  • Have first class customer service skills
  • Qualified in at least one of the following (or recognised equivalents)
     
    • First Aid (minimum four day certificate)
    • Emergency Medical Technician
    • NHS/IHCD Ambulance Technician
    • State Registered Paramedic
    • Nurse
    • Doctor

Ambulance Staff

The Job Role

Our ambulance staff are required to deliver a highly professional service for the transport sick and injured patients to and from home to hospital or from one hospital to another. they may also be required to provide event medical cover or cover to film and TV clients

You will be

  • Able to work on your own initiative
  • Punctual
  • Present a professional image
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Hold current driving licence
  • Physically fit
  • Qualified to drive C class vehicles
  • NHS/IHCD Ambulance Technician (or equivalent) * For medical cover
  • Ambulance care assistant (or equivalent) * For PTS
  • familiar with satellite navigation
  • available at short notice

You will get:
